Put Some Easter Eggs In Your Training Basket!
Some of our clients are
overwhelmed corporate training directors whose time is at a constant premium.
If you are one of these people, perhaps now
is the time to consider putting some “Easter Eggs” into your training basket.
Easter Eggs are hidden features on a CD or DVD that are accessed by a series of predetermined key functions.
The concept of an Easter Egg in electronic terms came about a few years ago with computer software. Programmers would incorporate hidden messages, graphics, or credits within the authored code of a program, which were accessible only when the user performed an obscure set of steps. With the correct “step codes”, you could probably find some eggs on your computer software or home DVD’s right now!
With the advent of CD’s and DVDs, it has become possible to include hidden information such as video interviews, audio clips, bonus images, credits, and so forth in a way that's not obvious to the user without advance knowledge of the combination of steps to retrieve the hidden information on the disc. This approach has become quite popular with mainstream disc releases, with hundreds of eggs scattered throughout many of the most popular movies and computer games.
